Bayern look to continue their onslaught in the Bundesliga when they take on lowly Hoffenheim

The German Bundesliga continues this week with the league leaders looking to extend their lead further, as the Bavarian giants Bayern Munich travel to Rhein-Neckar Arena to take on a TSG Hoffenheim side wallowing in the relegation zone.



This match looks like a complete and utter mismatch, as Bayern have had a firm grasp on the top spot and being crowned champions is all but a formality. The Bavarians are also keeping their eye on a possible treble, as they’ve become favorites to lift the UEFA Champions League as well as defeating rivals Borussia Dortmund in the Quarterfinals of the German Cup. It will be interesting to see how Coach Jupp Heynckes will set out his team for this match, with such a deep and quality squad and given the position they find themselves some of the regular players could be rested. Provided they play the key player to watch in this match are forward Mario Gomez, defender David Alaba and midfielder Javi Martinez, the play of Alaba will be particularly vital in providing width and service to the forwards. As for Hoffenheim, they find themselves in a desperate situation, they only find themselves three points off the foot of the table and have gone winless in their last three matches. The key players for Coach Marco Kurz are goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes as well as defender/captain Andres Beck and forward Kevan Volland, it will be up to Gomes’ ability to command his area and organize his defence in order for Hoffenheim to get anything from this match.
